Do Jen Kiggans and Rob Wittman Think Their Vote to Shutter Three Health Clinics Is a Win for Virginia?

Three health clinics in Virginia are forced to close directly because Virginia Republicans Jen Kiggans and Rob Wittman voted to gut Medicaid.

Now, the executive director of the Virginia GOP is telling CNN that the clinics closing are a “win for rural communities.”

Kiggans or Wittman could have voted to block House Republicans’ from advancing their Big, Ugly Bill. Instead, Kiggans and Wittman cast decisive votes for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history.

The question now for Kiggans and Wittman is simple: Do they think their vote that forced Virginia health care clinics to close is a ‘win’?

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Three health care clinics in Virginia have already announced they will have to close because of Jen Kiggans and Rob Wittman. Virginians will now have to travel farther, wait longer, and pay more to receive the care they need. That’s not a ‘win’ for Virginians – and it will be a major reason why Kiggans and Wittman won’t win re-election next November.”
