After losing her lawsuit to overturn the results of her 2020 election loss, April Becker claimed she would “never run for office again in a state that allows their elections to be rigged.”
She filed to run for Congress in Nevada’s Third District two months later. Now, on the heels of winning the GOP primary, Nevadans deserve to know: Does April Becker only accept election results when she likes the result?
Here’s a quick recap of Becker’s history of denying election results and attempting to throw out Nevadans’ votes simply because she didn’t agree with the outcome:
-
Becker went on a conspiracy theorist podcast known for pushing Trump’s Big Lie to complain that her 2020 election “win” was “stolen” – also stating she had reached out to Trump’s election lawyer, Sidney Powell, for legal support in her effort to overturn her election.
-
The suit was dismissed roughly three weeks later, with the judge noting that “If I were to do that, the court would disenfranchise, whether it be for those who voted in Clark County or just the folks in District 6.”
DCCC Spokesperson Johanna Warshaw
“Turns out the only way to get election deniers to accept the outcome of an election is for them to actually win one. Let’s be clear: the only thing that has changed between Becker’s 2020 election and now is that she finally likes the result.”
