Does Matt Mowers Agree with Ex-Boss Dr. Deborah Birx That Trump’s Failures Cost 130,000 American Lives?

Matt Mowers loves to talk about his time in the Trump administration and has said it had been a “privilege” and he was “proud” to have been Dr. Deborah Birx’s Chief of Staff.

Yesterday, Mowers’ old boss Birx made some news. She sat for interviews with a House Select Committee where she told investigators more than 130,000 American lives could have been saved with a stronger COVID response from the Trump administration.

Does Mowers agree with Dr. Birx that the Trump administration failed to respond properly to the pandemic?

His GOP primary opponents have attacked and called for the prosecution and imprisonment of Dr. Anthony Fauci, another one of Trump’s pandemic advisors who publicly disagreed with the president’s reckless handling of the pandemic.

Mowers is apparently all too willing to break with Trump on the issue of Corey Lewandowski — the alleged sexual harasser who was deemed too toxic for Trump world but who still works for Mowers’ campaign — but is he willing to admit Trump’s failed pandemic response cost 130,000 American lives?
