Does Scott Perry Support Giving Taxpayer Dollars to January 6 Rioters Who Assaulted Police Officers?

Perry has reportedly defended the fund

Last week, it was reported that Congressman Scott Perry has been “defending the weaponization fund” – a corrupt $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund that has received bipartisan backlash.

Now, new reporting from NBC News confirms that the fund could be used to provide payouts to January 6th rioters who attacked police officers.

So here’s a simple yes or no question for Congressman Perry: Does he support giving taxpayer dollars to people charged with assaulting police officers during the January 6th attack on the Capitol?

Reminder: Perry is so extreme that he voted against a bipartisan effort to honor police officers who put their lives on the line during January 6th. Perry was the only member of Pennsylvania’s congressional delegation – Republican or Democrat – to oppose the measure.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Congressman Scott Perry supports spending taxpayer dollars on anything but helping the people of Central Pennsylvania. Does he support payouts for people who violently assaulted our brave police officers?”
