Last week, Don Bacon defended an anti-choice GOP candidate who allegedly paid for his ex-girlfriend’s abortion.
Today, Bacon is defending extremist GOP candidates who were at the U.S. Capitol during the deadly January 6 insurrection.
Bacon was among House Republicans who “told Axios the conference should make room” for extremists candidates who attended the January 6 insurrection, which resulted in the death of 5 people and injured 140 law enforcement officers.
He previously praised insurrectionists who attacked the police as “patriots” and “outstanding, wonderful people,” and even stated that “many of them are my friends.”
Make no mistake: Don Bacon is a far-right extremist who’s more concerned with growing his party’s power in Washington – even if it means embracing anti-choice hypocrites and insurrectionists – than with representing hardworking Nebraskans.
DCCC Spokesperson Johanna Warshaw
“Once again Don Bacon is putting partisan politics over the people of Nebraska. Only a typical Washington politician like Bacon would spend his time defending anti-choice extremists and far-right insurrectionists in his own party, rather than condemn their dangerous and hypocritical actions.”
