Don Bacon Is All Tweets, No Action: Farm Bill Edition

Don Bacon hasn’t said a word about the Farm Bill since he let it expire 16 days ago, much less done anything to pass a new one. Instead, Bacon is sending a performative tweet about National Farmer’s Day that does nothing to help the more than 44,000 farms and ranches in Nebraska or the 6,300 dairy jobs in his district that are at risk of missing out on critical monthly payments

Nebraska families will also pay the price – failure to pass a new Farm Bill could cost U.S. taxpayers nearly $20 billion dollars and more than double the price of milk at grocery stores.

As he and House Republicans begin another week of chaos and dysfunction, Bacon is cementing their place as the least productive Congress in modern history.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:

“Don Bacon can tweet all he wants, but it won’t cover up his complete failure to fight for a new Farm Bill and deliver for Nebraska families and farmers who are working tirelessly from sun up to sun down.”
