Today, Don Bacon voted to elect Rep. Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House. After weeks of playing political games and enabling Republican’s dysfunction instead of working toward a solution, Bacon fell in line with his party and went all in for Johnson’s dangerous agenda, which includes banning abortion nationwide.
As a reminder, Bacon has backed a nationwide abortion ban without exceptions for rape, incest, or a mother’s life, and has voted against protecting the right to contraception.
In case you haven’t heard of him, here’s a bit about Johnson:
Johnson was instrumental in the plan to overturn the 2020 election – the New York Times named him “the most important architect of the Electoral College objections.”
Johnson voted against the CHIPS and Science Act, which is creating good-paying manufacturing jobs in Nebraska.
Don Bacon has completely abandoned working families in Nebraska, siding with election deniers, anti-abortion extremists, and relentless attacks on Social Security and Medicare.
