Bacon has admitted the inquiry is politically motivated & there’s likely no evidence of wrongdoing – and advocated for it anyway
Don Bacon voted today to continue playing political games, this time in the form of an illegitimate impeachment inquiry he helped build support for. Despite months of goose-chasing, they have yet to produce a single scrap of evidence – and Bacon has even admitted that they likely won’t.
In fact, Bacon didn’t even try to hide that this is a politically motivated stunt “for the elections.”
Now, Don Bacon has gotten his wish: the Republican-led House is laser-focused on a sham impeachment on President Biden instead of lowering costs or growing the middle class.
As a reminder, nearly 7 out of 10 voters in battleground districts said Republicans in Congress have prioritized the wrong things.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“This sham impeachment inquiry is nothing more than a cheap, cynical stunt by Don Bacon to play political games and continue doing nothing to help working families. With today’s vote, Bacon just told the American people that delivering for them doesn’t matter as much as scoring political points.”
