Don Bacon Wants To Put Funding For Veterans, Seniors On the Chopping Block To Give Tax Handouts To Big Corporations

Don Bacon’s priorities are crystal clear: put critical programs for veterans at risk of massive cuts in order to give a tax break to big corporations and the ultra-rich.

In a new interview, Bacon pushed for Congress to “look at mandatory spending” when enacting budget cuts, a fund that includes veterans’ pensions, disability compensation, and health care access, in addition to Social Security and Medicare.

Bacon has never hesitated to put the ultra-wealthy over Nebraskans, passing Trump and MAGA Republicans’ tax scam that gave massive tax breaks to large corporations and the ultra-rich at the expense of middle class families.

And as part of the Republican Study Committee, Bacon continued to work against Nebraska families with an agenda that would overwhelmingly benefit the top 5% of income earners by permanently cutting taxes for the rich and billion-dollar corporations, while raising retirement, housing, and prescription drug costs on middle class families.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Don Bacon is willing to shamelessly leave Nebraska veterans behind because he doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to Trump and his MAGA tax giveaway to big corporations.”
