This week, Donald Trump bragged about his role in stripping away women’s reproductive freedoms saying, “For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it. And I’m proud to have done it… We did something that was a miracle.”
It’s clear that Steil agrees, given he:
Celebrated the Dobbs decision, saying it was a “great victory.”
Steil signed on to an amicus brief that asked the Supreme Court to strike down the constitutional right to abortion in Roe v. Wade.
Steil votedtwice against the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe’s protections of reproductive freedom.
REMINDER: According to recent polling, support for abortion access remains at record levels as GOP politicians like Steil continue to target women and doctors for seeking or providing essential health care.
