This week, Donald Trump bragged about his role in stripping away women’s reproductive freedoms saying, “For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it. And I’m proud to have done it… We did something that was a miracle.”
It’s clear that Coughlin agrees, given:
Coughlin voted to restrict access to the lifesaving abortion medication mifepristone.
Coughlin cosponsored a measure that opposed any federal legislation that directed resources to protecting abortion access.
An anti-abortion organization that allied with Coughlin labeled him a “pro-life Senator.”
REMINDER: According to recent polling, support for abortion access remains at record levels as GOP politicians like Banweg and Coughlin continue to target women and doctors for seeking or providing essential health care.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Kevin Coughlin has made it crystal clear that he is comfortable with his party stripping constitutional freedoms away from Ohio women. Republicans have only continued their crusade for a national abortion ban, and Coughlin continues to enable them in these dangerous and unpopular attacks.”
