Donald Trump Brags About Overturning of Roe v. Wade, Calls it a ‘Miracle’: Rob Mercuri Agrees

This week, Donald Trump bragged about his role in stripping away women’s reproductive freedoms saying, “For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it. And I’m proud to have done it… We did something that was a miracle.”

It’s clear that Rob Mercuri agrees, given:

• In the state legislature, Mercuri co-sponsored the near total six-week abortion ban that would punish doctors with up to seven years in prison. He also voted for a constitutional amendment that would ban the right to an abortion.

• Mercuri’s campaign announcement last August was paired with a simultaneous attempt to scrub his anti-abortion record from his website.

• Later in October, Mercuri was also spotted at an anti-abortion rally, organized by a group whose goal is to “ultimately make abortion unthinkable.”

REMINDER: According to recent polling, support for abortion access remains at record levels as GOP politicians like Mercuri continue to target women and doctors for seeking or providing essential health care.
