Donald Trump Demands House Republicans Rewrite the Legal Code to Protect Him

Under orders from their wannabe dictator, Speaker Johnson and House Republicans are whipping support for legislation to manipulate the American judicial system to save the recently convicted felon.

After he was convicted of 34 felonies by a jury of his peers, Trump and Speaker Johnson are demanding this public display of their fealty as vulnerable House Republicans across the country continue to bob and weave to avoid angering the former president.

The bill is the latest installment in extreme House Republicans’ “multi-pronged effort targeting the Justice Department” to protect Donald Trump at the expense of the American people and the rule of law.

“Vulnerable House Republicans’ unwavering loyalty to Trump will be a liability for them with voters in November. If they can’t stand up to Trump when he makes dangerous demands to sabotage the legal system to shield him from the consequences of his crimes, there is no way they’ll stop him when he tries to cut Social Security, cut taxes for the wealthy and well-connected, and take away reproductive freedoms nationwide.”
