Earlier today, Donald Trump reiterated his support for cutting the retirement programs that millions of Michiganders rely on, reminding voters that MAGA extremists are coming after Social Security and Medicare.
Unsurprisingly, Trump’s loyal foot soldier in Congress John James is one step ahead of the former president. James’ Republican Study Committee has already proposed a budget that would raise the retirement age, reduce benefits, and privatize Medicare.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“John James is out of touch with the vast majority of Michiganders and his plan to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block would rip away seniors’ and working families’ hard earned benefits. James’ agenda may play well with Donald Trump, but it will cost him the election this November.”
