| As prices rise across the board, including surging costs at the gas pump, and the American public can no longer afford the Republican economy, Donald Trump bragged that, “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation.”
When asked to respond to this tone-deaf comment, Deputy Speaker Mike Johnson attempted to brush it off, saying “I don’t know the context in which he made that comment.”
The fact is, poll after poll reveals that the American people are struggling under rising inflation and growing disapproval of how Trump and Republicans are handling health care, rising costs, tariffs, and the war in Iran.
And the de facto leader of their party just told the American people that House Republicans don’t give a damn.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“The American people know Republicans are solely to blame for their struggles to make ends meet. GOP extremists will be crushed in November because of their failures to lower the high cost of living.”
