Dr. Kim Schrier Continues to Lower Drug Prices, Saving Millions of Dollars For Washingtonians

Today, the White House announced that they have negotiated down the cost of 10 prescription drugs under Medicare – saving millions of Americans billions of dollars in yearly costs.

Thanks to Dr. Kim Schrier’s work championing the historic, cost-saving Inflation Reduction Act, these price negotiations are expected to save taxpayers $6 billion and help Americans save $1.5 billion in out-of-pocket medication costs.

Not a single House Republican voted for this life-saving legislation. Even worse, House Republicans have repeatedly called for the full repeal of the landmark bill.

Trump’s Project 2025 and House Republicans’ calls to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act would force millions of Americans to pay more for life-saving prescription drugs like insulin and now 10 of the country’s most common and costly drugs.

DCCC Spokesperson Dan Gottlieb:
“Plain and simple, Dr. Kim Schrier is saving seniors money and lowering prices on life-saving medicine. Voters see the stark contrast between Dr. Schrier delivering for Washingtonians and House Republicans trying to raise costs, and that’s why they will reelect her this November.”
