| Yesterday marked eight months since Donald Trump, backed by Jim Desmond, pulled Californians into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. As California families pay nearly $6 a gallon to fill up the tank and watch prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, Desmond continues to throw Californians under the bus.
American’s confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.
The Desmond-backed war in Iran has cost Californians an average of $542 per household.
REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started. Meanwhile, Jim Desmond has claimed that “President Trump is right,” about the war and said “no pain, no gain” as Californians struggle with sky-high gas prices.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Jim Desmond is running to be a rubber stamp for Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, which is raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. Californians are sick of this endless war, and Desmond’s extreme MAGA agenda is going to cost him this election.” |
