Eight Months Later, Californians Are Paying the Price for the Kevin Kiley-Backed War in Iran

Kiley voted six times to back the war

Yesterday marked eight months since Donald Trump, backed by Kevin Kiley, pulled Californians into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. As California families pay nearly $6 a gallon to fill up the tank and watch prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, Kiley continues to throw his constituents under the bus.

American’s confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.

The Kiley-backed war in Iran has cost Californians an average of $542 per household.

REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Kevin Kiley broke his promise to Californians to lower costs, rubber-stamping Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran and raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. Californians are sick of this endless war, and Kiley’s broken promises are going to cost him his job.”
