Eight Months Later, Floridians Are Paying the Price for the Mike Beltran-Backed War in Iran

Yesterday marked eight months since Donald Trump, backed by Mike Beltran, pulled Floridians into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. As Florida families pay $4 a gallon to fill up the tank and watch prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, Beltran continues to throw Floridians under the bus.

American’s confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.

The Beltran-backed war in Iran has cost Floridians an average of $578 per household.

REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Mike Beltran is running to be a rubber stamp for Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, which is raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. Floridians are sick of this endless war, and Beltran’s extreme agenda is going to cost him this election.”
