| Yesterday marked eight months since Donald Trump, backed by Laurie Buckhout and Jennifer Balkcom, pulled North Carolinians into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. Despite families paying $3.43/gal to fill up the tank and watching prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, Buckhout and Balkcom are still backing the war
American’s confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.
The Buckhout and Balkcom-backed war in Iran has cost North Carolinians an average $608 per household.
REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Jennifer Balkcom and Laurie Buckhout are running to be rubber stamps for Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, which is raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. North Carolinians are sick of this endless war, and Balkcom and Buckhout’s extreme agendas are going to cost them this election.” |
