Eight Months Later, Southwest Ohioans Are Paying the Price for the Mike Turner-Backed War in Iran

Turner voted SIX times to back the war

Today marks eight months since Donald Trump and Mike Turner pulled Ohioans into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. As families pay $4.32/gal to fill up the tank and watch prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, Turner continues to throw their constituents under the bus.

Americans’ confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.

The Turner-backed war in Iran has cost Ohioans more than $580 more on average per household.

REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Turner broke his promise to Ohioans to lower costs, rubber-stamping Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran and raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. Ohio families are sick of this endless war, and Turner’s broken promises are going to cost him his job.”
