Eight Months Later, Texans Are Paying the Price for the Monica De La Cruz-Backed War in Iran

De La Cruz voted 6 times to back the war

Yesterday marked eight months since Donald Trump, backed by Monica De La Cruz, pulled Texans into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. As families pay $3.70/gal to fill up the tank and watch prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, De La Cruz continues to throw her constituents under the bus.

American’s confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.

The De La Cruz-backed war in Iran has cost Texans an average $705 per household.

REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started.

DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Monica De La Cruz broke her promise to Texans to lower costs, rubber-stamping Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran and raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. Texas families are sick of this endless war, and De La Cruz’s broken promises are going to cost her her job.”
