Eight Months Later, Texans Are Paying the Price for the Tijerina, Flores, and De La Cruz-Backed War in Iran

Yesterday marked eight months since Donald Trump, backed by Tano Tijerina, Eric Flores, and Carlos De La Cruz, pulled Texans into a reckless war of choice in Iran with no end in sight. Despite families paying $3.70/gal to fill up the tank and watching prices soar on groceries and everyday goods, Tijerina, Flores, and De La Cruz are still backing the war.

American’s confidence in the economy is “in a tailspin,” with consumer confidence at a lower point than during the Great Recession.

The Tijerina, Flores, and De La Cruz-backed war in Iran has cost Texans an average $705 per household.

REMINDER: Trump said the war in Iran would be over in a matter of weeks, but after eight months, $47 billion in military spending, and more than $100 billion in excess consumer spending on fuel alone, the war is no closer to ending than when it started.

DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Tano Tijerina, Eric Flores, and Carlos De La Cruz are running to be rubber stamps for Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, which is raising prices everywhere from the gas station to the grocery store. Texans are sick of this endless war, and Tijerina, Flores, and De La Cruz’s extreme agendas are going to cost them this election.”
