| New CBS News reporting shows American families will be hit with record high electricity costs this summer. Between June and September, families will spend an estimated average of $800 on electricity, up 10.5% from last summer.
Trump’s war of choice with Iran has already forced the average household to spend an additional $450 on “fuel-related expenses” since February, and it’s estimated that total will hit $2,000 at the one-year mark of the war.
After one year under the GOP trifecta, hardworking families are worse off. The skyrocketing inflation is forcing families to make difficult choices about what they can afford, with one in six households falling behind on their utility bills.
