Eli Crane Says He’s “Very Supportive” Of Reckless Tariffs That Are Costing Arizonans An Extra $2,100 A Year

“I think it was a very good move,” Crane told the Dispatch

Eli Crane is making it clear he doesn’t care that Arizonans may have to shell out an extra $2,100 this year for groceriesutilities, and other household necessities due to tariffs.

In a recent interview with the Dispatch, Crane stated he’s “very supportive” of tariffs, even calling them “a very good move.”

When pressed on the cost-raising tariffs’ increasing unpopularity, Crane had the audacity to double down: “I agree with the policy.”

In addition to raising costs on consumers, Crane’s tariffs are crushing small businesses and have forced some to lay off staffreduce hours, or shut their doors altogether.

REMINDER: Crane has consistently voted to raise costs on Arizonans. In the last year alone, Crane cast a key vote to kick nearly 42,000 of his constituents off their health care and jeopardize rural hospitals across the state, including three in Arizona’s 2nd congressional district, raising health care costs for all Arizonans. Crane’s also repeatedly voted to cede Congress’ oversight role on tariffs, clearing the way for the administration to continue its price-spiking agenda.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Eli Crane is completely out of touch. Rather than work to lower costs, Crane is making it even harder for families to get by. Arizonans deserve a leader who fights for them, not for DC party leaders and their billionaire donors.”
