Eli Crane Sprints to the Right in Battleground AZ-02

Crane disqualifies himself for the general election as he faces bruising primary

It’s tough to out-radical Walt Blackman, who praised the white supremacist group Proud Boys and wants to charge women who get an abortion with murder, and Ron Watkins, who is rumored to be “Q” behind QAnon — but NRCC “On the Radar” candidate Eli Crane is giving it his all.

Today Crane embraced the endorsement from Gregg Phillips, who appeared in Dinesh D’Souza’s movie falsely promoting the conspiracy theory that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. Phillips praised Crane’s commitment to the Big Lie: “Eli has no fear about telling the truth, like about the 2020 election being stolen.”

And over the weekend, Crane campaigned with Wendy Rogers, who is currently under investigation for spreading the conspiracy theory that the federal government was responsible for the devastating mass shooting in Buffalo:

“Only hours after a white gunman fired upon mostly Black shoppers at a grocery store in Buffalo N.Y., killing 10 and wounding three, Rogers posted on the social media site Telegram, ‘Fed boy summer has started in Buffalo.’”

Every day as Eli Crane races to the right in his primary, he disqualifies himself to Arizona voters.

“The three Republicans running in AZ-02 are an extremist who wants to toss out your vote, a radical who praised a white supremacist group, and the guy rumored to be Q of QAnon,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “By contrast, Tom O’Halleran is the most bipartisan member of Arizona’s congressional delegation. Republicans have no winning options and their blatant extremism will disqualify them to voters this November.”
