Rep. Victoria Spartz Supports Republican Budget That Would Gut Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare; Hurt Indiana Farmers

As Republican Study Committee Cozies Up With Trump, Reminder that Spartz Stands With Their Disastrous Agenda

The Republican Study Committee just released their latest proposed budget, confirming yet again that Rep. Victoria Spartz is out of touch with Indiana values.

The Republican proposal supported by Spartz is a far-right wish list which would be a threat to Hoosiers’ health care. The proposal includes putting Medicaid on the chopping block and rolling back Social Security and Medicare for seniors.

And that’s not all. If Spartz and the Republican Study Committee had their way, they’d end the renewable fuel standard, slash crop insurance, and eliminate dairy subsidies, hurting Hoosier farmers.

“Victoria Spartz’s support for a budget proposal which would wreck the health and economic well-being of hard-working families is the latest reminder that she’s more interested in standing with Washington Republicans than Indiana,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “Hoosiers deserve better than a representative who promises to sell out seniors, farmers, and small businesses to stand with party leaders.”
