Fresh off job in disastrous State administration, Sanguinetti wants to be Trump’s rubber-stamp in Congress
Just months after voters booted her out of office for her role in Springfield’s unending dysfunction and fiscal irresponsibility, Evelyn Sanguinetti is exploring a run for Congress.
In Springfield, Sanguinetti helped to preside over years of chaos and dysfunction – including disastrous gridlock that cut vital programs and services like support for small businesses, public school funding, and centers for domestic violence victims – all while costing the state $1 billion.
After her failure in Springfield, Sanguinetti wants to bring more of that same toxic brand of partisan politics to Congress, where she would be a rubber-stamp vote for President Trump’s agenda of higher taxes for Illinois homeowners and higher healthcare costs for families.
“After helping to preside over the unending dysfunction and corruption in Springfield, Evelyn Sanguinetti wants to bring her warped priorities and failed agenda to Washington, but the last thing Illinois families need is another rubber-stamp for the disastrous Trump agenda,” said DCCC spokesperson Mike Gwin. “While Sanguinetti would vote in lock-step with President Trump on issues from higher taxes on homeowners to rising health insurance costs, Congressman Casten has already proven himself to be an independent leader focused on delivering for his constituents by cleaning up Washington corruption, lowering taxes and healthcare costs, and stopping gun violence.”
