FACT CHECK: Bacon Called Out For Lying To Nebraskans In Campaign Ad

News Channel Nebraska: Bacon ad raising questions

Don Bacon was called out for lying to Nebraskans in a recent campaign ad where he falsely claimed that he “capped insulin prices at $35 a month,” despite voting AGAINST the bill that actually capped insulin costs.

News Channel Nebraska fact checked Bacon’s misleading claims – pointing out that Bacon voted ‘NO’ on the Inflation Reduction Act, which capped Insulin prices for seniors on Medicare, calling it “reckless and partisan.” The bill also allows Medicare to negotiate to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

Bacon has also accepted more than $50,000 in campaign contributions from the prescription drug industry.
