FACT CHECK: Leavitt Lies on WMUR

Yesterday, MAGA extremist Karoline Leavitt did a Q&A on WMUR.

Leavitt tried her best to run away from her extreme and dangerous positions. It didn’t work.

2020 election: On WMUR, Leavitt said, “I believe that Joe Biden is the legitimate president.” Who does she think she’s kidding? It was a major theme of her primary campaign!

Leavitt claimed the 2020 election was “stolen” numerous times. She said Joe Biden wasn’t legitimately elected:

Social Security: Leavitt tried to walk back her position on privatizing Social Security, which would result in huge cuts in Social Security benefits.  Unfortunately for Karoline, her real position is on video:

“[The privatization of Social Security] I think is a solution that should be looked at very closely, and I would certainly be interested in proposing legislation to do that when I get to Congress.”

Abortion: Leavitt has no answer for her dangerous opposition to abortion rights. It’s painful to watch.  These are the facts based on Leavitt’s own words:

• Leavitt is proudly anti-abortion and disrespects women by saying abortion is “not about women’s health.”

• She supported overturning Roe v. Wade, allowing states to ban abortion even in cases of rape, incest, and when a woman’s life is in danger.

• In her own words, Leavitt would “always vote” against abortion rights in Congress.

• She supports passing stronger anti-choice laws in New Hampshire, and her goal in Congress is to end abortion nationwide.

Pandemic aid: Leavitt came out hard against pandemic aid, but her own family business took PPP funds. WMUR reported on this last year:
