Mariannette Miller-Meeks is out with a whopper of a new ad, claiming she’ll stand up to the insurance companies – when the truth is she is bought and paid for by the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

Miller-Meeks has taken more than $450,000 from the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries and $303,000 from the insurance industry.
Bombshell reporting exposed Miller-Meeks for renting a D.C. condo from two lobbyists whose firm made millions working for PhRMA, while Miller-Meeks sat on a subcommittee overseeing drug pricing issues.
Miller-Meeks voted against capping insulin prices on the *same day* that she took money from an insulin manufacturer.
At the same time she was fighting against health care tax credits for Iowa families, Miller-Meeks took tens of thousands of dollars from insurance companies.
Miller-Meeks wrote a health care plan that would undermine protections for Iowans with pre-existing conditions – a payday to the insurance industry.
Miller-Meeks said higher health care costs mean that Iowans have “some skin in the game” and are incentivized to stay healthier and not overuse their doctor.
