With less than one month until the primary, Jefferson Van Drew is out with a cable buy and new ad, and it’s full of lies and flip-flops. Seems Bob Patterson’s ad is making Van Drew nervous about winning his first primary as a Republican.

“President Trump endorsed Jeff Van Drew because he needs a conservative fighter in Congress.”
FACT CHECK:
Jeff Van Drew voted against Trump 90 percent of the time including votes against some of Trump’s top policy positions and key legislative priorities. Van Drew also voted to ratify and affirm investigations related to Trump.

Jefferson Van Drew voted multiple times against Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the border, the only Donald Trump-sanctioned approach to border security.

And according to a voicemail left by Van Drew himself to a constituent last November:
“I haven’t voted for him, I didn’t support him, I will not vote for him.”
“I’d want to just beat him in a normal election.”
“This doesn’t happen often, but we agree with Republican Bob Patterson — Jefferson Van Drew is a fake, a phony, and a fraud,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “It’s a shame that Van Drew is so desperate to advance his political career that he’s willing to deceive South Jersey voters yet again in trumped up television ads.”
