| Millions of Americans are at risk of losing SNAP benefits before the end of the month if David Valadao and House Republicans’ government shutdown continues – that includes 5.5 million Californians who will lose CalFresh benefits starting next month.
REMINDER: By rubberstamping the GOP’s Big, Ugly Law, Valadao voted to gut food assistance supporting more than 60,000 households in his district – where 1 in 4 families rely on these benefits every month.
DOUBLE REMINDER: Californians are at risk because Valadao and House Republicans refuse to come back to work to negotiate an extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits, threatening health care for nearly 1.7 million Californians after already voting for the largest cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in history.
But now, ~suddenly~ Valadao is warning on social media that “time is running out…before vulnerable families are left struggling to put food on the table.”
The hypocrisy couldn’t be louder – or crueler. And Central Valley families see right through it.
