| Filings submitted to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) confirm what we already knew: Republicans are terrified of facing Navy helicopter pilot Rebecca Bennett because they know she will flip New Jersey’s 7th District.
The reports confirm that Republicans spent more than $650,000 to meddle against Rebecca during the primary. Their money went up in smoke.
In her victory speech, Rebecca said: “I want to congratulate the Republican Party for lighting $650,000 on fire.”
It’s worth asking Congressman Tom Kean Jr. and his campaign: Did he ask his party bosses to spend against Rebecca because he fears losing to her in November?
