In the first general election debate in Arizona’s first Congressional District tonight, voters should brace themselves for an array of verbal gymnastics from Andy Tobin as he tries to explain away his failed record of damaging the middle class.

“No matter how hard Andy Tobin tries in tonight’s debate, he won’t be able to hide from his disastrous record that has hurt middle class families and schools throughout Arizona,” said Tyrone Gayle of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Arizonans know that Andy Tobin is an political insider who has fostered a culture of corruption in Arizona even while threatened the economy time and again.”
