Do Perry & Fitzpatrick agree with Harrisburg Republicans’ efforts to subpoena the private information of 9 million Pennsylvanians?
Republicans in Pennsylvania’s state Senate announced as part of their sham “forensic investigation” into the 2020 election that they would issue a subpoena for detailed personal information on every Pennsylvanian who voted in last year’s election.
This information would include voters’ names, driver’s license numbers, and the last four digits of their Social Security number.
Republicans themselves even gave up the game on this “audit,” admitting that this exercise was a solution in search of a problem. Republican state Sen. Cris Dush confessed, “We’re not responding to proven allegations. We are investigating the allegations to determine whether or not they are factual.”
Thus far, federal Republicans from Pennsylvania have been tongue-tied or lost their ability to speak on the matter. When asked yesterday about the subpoena, Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14), “totally ignored the question” and claimed everyone’s voice must be heard — but apparently not his on the subject.
DCCC targets Brian Fitzpatrick and Scott Perry — both making headlines this week for all the wrong reasons — are completely silent about this illegal effort to publicly release voter information.
DCCC Spokesman James Singer
“Public service isn’t a game of hide and seek. Pennsylvanians deserve to know where Reps. Perry and Fitzpatrick stand on this dangerous partisan charade.”
