During a rally in Pennsylvania last night, President Trump attacked the FBI, parroting debunked conspiracy theories about their work and referring to the agency’s employees as “scum” and “not good people.”
And what has Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, who often touts his time as a former FBI agent, said about the president’s attacks? Absolutely nothing. Instead, Fitzpatrick has stood silent in the face of these insults against his former colleagues.
“Fitzpatrick’s refusal to stand up to these partisan, unfounded attacks is part of a larger pattern for the congressman who plays at a nonpartisan persona,” said DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice. “Fitzpatrick must forcefully denounce Trump and his party’s continued smearing of this brave federal law enforcement agency – otherwise he’ll risk becoming simply another partisan hack.”
