News broke this morning that Jim Jordan was not planning to force a third vote for speaker and now endorsing a plan to empower a speaker pro-tempore. Following in his footsteps was House Republicans’ leading lemming Brian Fitzpatrick.
Fitpatrick voted twice for Jim Jordan for speaker, despite the fact that he wants to ban abortion, gut Social Security and Medicare, and tried to throw out the 2020 election results in PA-01. But now that he’s gotten blowback in his district, Fitzpatrick is trying to save face.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Pennsylvanians deserve real representation, not Brian Fitzpatrick who only does what’s politically convenient. He might have flip flopped at the last possible second, but voters won’t forget that Donald Trump, Jim Jordan, and MAGA Republicans keep Fitzy on a tight leash.”
