Follow the Money: Super PAC Helping Far-Right Aadland Comes Under Scrutiny for Shady Practices and Potential Illegal Donation

Today, Colorado Public Radio published an article questioning the legality of campaign spending by a super PAC working to get far-right GOP candidate Erik Aadland elected.

Experts say “For Colorado’s Future” may have broken campaign finance law by accepting donations from a company that receives taxpayer money to work on federal projects. CPR reports: “There are few if any exceptions that would allow a contractor to make such a donation.”

Furthermore, the PAC also spent $250,000 more than it reported raising – drawing questions about where its money is coming from and who is really spending to influence voters in this election.

“Erik Aadland has sided with special interests time and time again, asserting he would not stand up to Big Pharma to lower prescription drug costs for working families,” said DCCC spokesperson Maddy Mundy. “Now, Aadland’s loyalty to Colorado families is called into question once again as he accepts the support of a shady PAC that believes it is above the law.”
