On his Saturday radio show, former VA-05 Congressman Tom Garrett announced his support for Bob Good over incumbent Rep. Denver Riggleman in the upcoming GOP primary.
Even worse for Riggleman, in his endorsement Garrett accused him of making shady deals in Washington to land on certain committees and criticized him for breaking ranks with all Virginia Republicans by voting to extend parts of the PATRIOT Act.
This is just the latest sign that Virginia Republican insiders are consolidating to overthrow Riggleman in the district’s June 13th drive-through convention held at Bob Good’s church.
DCCC spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer released the following statement:
“At this point, is there even anyone left in VA-05 that’s planning on voting for Congressman Denver Riggleman?”
