| Four years after the Supreme Court ripped reproductive rights away from millions of women, Bill Huizenga has continued the work of further dismantling abortion rights in Congress.
Huizenga’s record is clear: he endangered women’s lives by giving politicians like himself power over decisions that belong to women and their doctors.
- Huizenga cosponsored the Life At Conception Act: a total nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life.
- Huizenga signed the amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and then applauded the Dobbs decision.
- Huizenga voted for a backdoor effort to pressure states with established legal protections into gradually stripping away abortion rights.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Bill Huizenga worked for years to overturn Roe and ban abortion, denying women the freedom to make their own health care decisions. Huizenga is a reliable vote for draconian laws to control women’s health care and as Michiganders are already angry with his unpopular agenda making their lives harder, voters will fire him this November.” |
