Four Years After Dobbs, Mike Turner Is Still Working To Ban Abortion

Mike Turner signed the amicus brief to overturn Roe V. Wade

Four years after the Supreme Court ripped reproductive rights away from millions of women, Mike Turner has continued the work of further dismantling abortion rights in Congress.

Turner’s record is clear: he endangered women’s lives by giving politicians like himself power over decisions that belong to women and their doctors.

  • Turner voted twice for a national 20-week abortion ban and a 20-week abortion ban in DC.
  • Turner signed the amicus brief to overturn Roe V. Wade.
  • Turner voted to restrict medical abortion drugs and criminalize doctors for performing abortions.
  • Turner voted to jail doctors and nurses who provide reproductive health care.
  • Turner voted to defund abortion care for U.S. servicemembers.
  • Turner voted for a backdoor effort to pressure states with established legal protections into gradually stripping away abortion rights.
  • Turner was endorsed by National Right to Life and consistently received A and A+ ratings from radical anti-choice extremist group Susan B. Anthony List, whose goal is to end abortion.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Turner worked for years to overturn Roe and ban abortion, denying Ohio women the freedom to make their own health care decisions. Ohio voters know Turner would vote for draconian laws to control women’s health care following his devastating health care cuts, and they will reject him this November.”
