FUNDRAISING ROUNDUP: More than 110 Democratic Challengers Out-Raise Republican Opponents in Q3 of 2018

In the third quarter of 2018, Democratic candidates continued to break fundraising records and put Republicans on defense deep into the map. The DCCC has expanded fundraising and digital staff in order to ensure Democratic candidates have the infrastructure and strategies to capitalize on the grassroots energy that is evident throughout the country, and convert it into small dollar donations.

“While Republicans have outsourced a failing midterm strategy to Super PACs and dark money outside groups, the DCCC has empowered Democratic candidates to raise the resources necessary to share their powerful stories and records of service with voters,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law. “These historic fundraising hauls, largely driven by small-dollar contributions, have allowed Democrats to beat Republican outside groups to the airwaves, set the terms of the debate, and expand the battlefield to create many paths to the 23 seats we need to flip the House.”
