Speaker Ryan Has Made Plain that This Election is Binary Choice – Paulsen Has Made His
Today marks one week since the world learned that Donald Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women. In the days since, women from all over the country have come forward, accusing Trump of all manners of sexually inappropriate behavior, including:
Walking in on Miss USA contestants changing; Walking in on Miss Teen USA contestants changing; Groping a woman without her permission; Groping another woman without her permission; Kissing a woman without her permission; Assaulting a reporter who was interviewing Trump and his then-pregnant wife; Groping another woman without her permission; Joking after seeing a 10 year-old that he would be “dating her in 10 years”; and Telling 14 year-old girls, “In a couple years, I’ll be dating you.”
Despite Congressman Paulsen’s belated walk-away from Donald Trump, Paulsen still wants him to be president.
Why? Because Speaker Ryan long ago made it clear that in this election Republicans have a “binary choice … It’s either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.” Ryan endorsed Trump because it was the only way to stop Hillary Clinton from becoming President. Therefore, the only way to stop Donald Trump from being President is to support Clinton. Period.
“As Speaker Ryan has made clear, Congressman Erik Paulsen has a simple choice in this election, and until he says he’ll vote for Hillary Clinton then he’s not doing all he can to stop Trump from becoming President,” said Sacha Haworth of the DCCC. “Anything short of a vote for Hillary is nothing more political maneuvering so Paulsen can save his own reelection chances.”
