Gabe Evans, Jeff Crank Chain Themselves to Radical Republican Nominee for Governor

Evans, who won in 2024 by fewer than 2,500 votes and has been consistently labeled one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country, is “fully embrac[ing]” Marx. Almost immediately after Marx won, Evans fired off a statement that voters must “unite as Republicans and vote red up and down the ballot,” naming Marx specifically.

Crank, who is facing “a stronger 5th district candidate this year than [Democrats] have ever had in Jessica Killin,” recently recorded a video endorsing Marx and urging Republicans to “stick together.”

A quick primer on Victor Marx, who:

• Says he killed a man at age 7,

• Won’t say how many people he’s killed as an adult, 

• Claims to have called in a U.S. military strike as a civilian, 

• Claims to have saved 45,000 women and children from captivity,

• Claims he stopped human smugglers at the Mexico border and “made them pay a price,”

• Claims he was the first American into Gaza during the war with Israel,

• Claims to regularly perform exorcisms by phone.
