Despite electricity prices rising twice as fast as inflation this year, Gabe Evans voted to raise energy bills on hardworking Americans today.
House Republicans pushed through an extreme funding bill that slashes $492 million from Colorado for programs designed to lower utility bills for American families.
The program most hurt by Evans and Republicans’ spending bill is the Weatherization Assistance Program, which reduces energy costs for families through energy efficiency.
REMINDER: Under Evans’ Big, Ugly Law alone, Coloradans would see a spike of $306 in annual energy bills.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Gabe Evans has now voted TWICE this year to raise energy costs on hardworking Coloradans. His vote is both political malpractice and incredibly cruel to millions of households struggling to pay their bills. As working families across the country see their utility bills go up and up, the DCCC will make sure everyone knows Evans is to blame when they vote in 2026.” |
