Gabe Vasquez Fights to Bring More Affordable Housing to New Mexico

As the cost of living continues to squeeze families across New Mexico, Congressman Gabe Vasquez is taking bold action to protect and expand affordable housing.

By introducing the Keep Mobile Homes Affordable Act, Vasquez is cracking down on greedy, corporate landlords’ price gouging and unfair utility operations to ensure low income families, seniors, and veterans don’t have to choose between paying the bills and keeping a roof over their heads – especially in rural areas.

Nearly one in six New Mexicans live in manufactured or mobile homes – three times the national average – making this issue especially critical to the people he serves.

“When it comes down to affordable housing stock in New Mexico, this is an issue we can’t ignore.” – Rep. Vasquez

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser
“Gabe Vasquez knows what it means to deliver results that make life better for the people of New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District. By defending affordability, holding bad actors accountable, and fighting for everyday people so no one gets left behind, Gabe continues to put working families first.”
