| Congressman Gabe Vasquez is leading the charge to demand honesty from the Administration and protect New Mexico’s seniors as they go to file their taxes.
After House Republicans and the Trump administration issued conflicting information as to whether taxes on Social Security have truly been eliminated, Vasquez took decisive action, urging the Treasury Secretary and Social Security Administration Commissioner to provide clear guidance and clarity for New Mexico seniors this tax season.
“New Mexico seniors work their entire lives to earn Social Security benefits. It’s ridiculous that this administration has willfully caused so much confusion by openly lying about cutting taxes on Social Security.” – Rep. Vasquez
“America’s seniors deserve honesty from their government as they plan for retirement and prepare to file their taxes,” Rep. Vasquez said in the letter.
