| As a first generation Mexican American who was raised on both sides of the border and now represents 180 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, Congressman Gabe Vasquez is leading the way for commonsense action on border security and immigration reform.
To better address the safety of border communities, Vasquez is demanding urgent federal coordination from the Departments of Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, and the Federal Aviation Administration to counter cartels’ use of drones to surveil law enforcement, coordinate smuggling operations, and threaten public safety – actions that often put Border Patrol agents, local police, and military sites at risk.
By sounding the alarm to shut down these emerging threats – Vasquez is putting New Mexicans’ safety first.
