Today, President Trump signed an executive order that could destabilize health insurance markets, drive up costs, and allow insurance companies to sell health insurance plans to Americans with high deductibles and without essential health benefits.
Congress has failed to address the rising cost of healthcare or stand up to President Trump’s deliberate sabotage of health insurance markets. It is time for Rep. George Holding and Richard Hudson to act.
“Reps. George Holding and Richard Hudson, along with the do-nothing Republican Congress have failed to do anything to address the rising cost of healthcare or the instability in healthcare markets created by President Trump’s erratic behavior and reckless executive order,” said DCCC spokesperson Cole Leiter. “George Holding and Richard Hudson should put politics aside and work with Democrats to make healthcare more affordable or be ready for voters to show them the door in 2018.”
